French Opportunities

Students in Manitoba have access to many cultural, educational and social activites en Français.  Here is a sample of some of the ways students can participate in French or biligual opportunities.

Students are paired with Québec students – three months in MB and three months in QC.

Grades 10 - 12.

Week-long exchange to Ottawa with students from all across Canada.

14 to 17 year olds.

Student exchanges, educational tours and forums.

14 to 17 year olds.

Full-time work experience that gives you the opportunity to travel Canada, make a difference in the lives of others, and share your culture.

A five-week immersion program for students wishing to enhance their French-language skills.

A summer work-exchange program for high school students, in their second language.
A week-long program for high school students to help them to learn about Canada's government in Ottawa.

Agreement facilitates employment and eductation related mobility between Canada and France.

18 - 35 yr olds.

Rideau Hall.

Become a tourist guide at this Canadian museum in France.
Become a tourist guide at Vimy Ridge Memorial in France.
Part-time employment for university students studying in the Ottawa region

An organisation that encourages Manitoba's youth to live and play in French
A volunteer program where participants spend 3 months in 2 different locations in Canada
Specialized immersion programs and language learning holidays for teens, gap year, adult and 55+ learners.

Nacel can provide you with an opportunity to experience a foreign culture, first hand. Students who wish to apply for a Nacel Academic Program must be between 15 to 17 years old at time of departure.

Summer Exchange: Canadian students spend the month of July in France, returning home with their French exchange partners in August, who then leave at the end of the month.

Students must be at least 18 years of age to enroll at École Québec Monde. It is possible to conditionally accept students who are under 18 years of age with an authorization letter from a parent or guardian.

Académie des langues de Trois-Pistoles

Programs:

  • Bilingual summer camp in July
  • Teaching proficiency in French (with certificate)

The RIJ is an internship program for young Canadian citizens aged 18 to 30. It allows participants to undertake a practical work experience, in French, in a member Francophonie country. This unique and rewarding experience will help broaden your understanding of the world, discover new cultures, and acquire new knowledge while developing new skills.
