How do I pick a song?

MIKE'S PICKS - Click here to sample some great French music!  If you find one you like, contact Michael and he will send you the lyrics and charts you need.

The great thing about Concours JAM is that everyone can participate.  You don't even need to know the name of a French song, you just need to be willing to learn.  Fortunately, there exists a tremendous number of great French songs and musicians.  Here are some suggestions on how you can pick your song.

If you are still having trouble selecting a song after you have explored the options below, please contact Michael Hudon.  He has a binderful of song choices that he would love to share with you.

1. Write your own song

Must also write music (chords are acceptable) if you would like live accompaniment in the Finals

2. Translate your favorite English song to French

Ask your French teacher or contact Michael Hudon for help!

3. Buy a French CD (list of physical distributors)

4. Purchase a French CD online
